The old clown

Mimodrama

Representation and production: Peter Mim

A history which reports completely without words about the life of a clown from the beginning of his career up to the end of his existence.

An abandoned circus tent and the moonlight on the empty circus ring...

The ray of hope throws light on an empty cage - nevertheless the bird has escaped long ago.
A puppet whose puppet cross is torn off testifies to attained freedom.
An old violin grown silent is mantled by the dust of time...

He, the man in the cross-hatched trousers, rummages in a dusty suitcase and remembers his life.
Like from a silent movie short scenes of his life spring alive again on stage - love, success, joy, the war, disappointments - touching, wistful, human.

The brutal reality destroys his dreams...

The spectators experience the highlights of a life and at the end his isolation at old age - without family, without friends, only worthy to live through the art and memories...

The program takes approx. 60 minutes and is suitable for an audience aged from 9 to 99
