Visual Poems and Mime

Full-length program

Representation and production: Peter Mim

The mime protagonist presents own topics in a dynamic order of etudes - interpretations, mimodrames and visual narrations.

In the picture sequence of the evening the mime creates a kaleidoscope of art, comedy and poetry with an astonishing effect, which touches the audienceās hearts, casts a spell and is celebrated.

In the first part of the program comedy controls the stage: funny, exaggerated and ironical, critical scenes are presented with finest humour. Satirical grotesque and affectionate comedy enter a peculiar symbiosis and cause a dramatic variation between joy and confusion.

In the second, the poetic part of the evening, Peter Mim works with sensitive, philosophical topics such as emergence and birth, existence and development, isolation, cockiness and ignorance but also love and hope, perfection and freedom, passion and mourning.

The pantomime pushes his spectators into the banality of an absurd everyday life. He wordlessly pulls him from immobilizing silence into lively poetry and before one knows it, the tragic suddenly seems comical, the usual absurd and grotesque, the beautiful gruesome and the cruel aesthetical. As a face acrobat and athlete he relies on his body language. A philosopher of the grimaces between slapstick comedy and shrewd nonsense acts here in order to bewitch his audience in the next instant as a magician of comical mourning. His mimic resembles a novel, a comedy and pretty often also a tragedy.

Small, fine scenes from pantomime, body magic, play and music are represented by the masterful pantomime in fascinating light.

His pantomime does not only convince with technical perfection but also with dramaturgic ideas and choreographic aspects, stressed by the gentle background music. The precise movement, the body theatre, the carefully selected classical and modern music and the light staging merge to a synthesis of the arts at the highest level.

During this fascinating evening full comedy and tragedy, poetry and magic the internationally recognized master of pantomime motivates his audience to think, to sense, to smile and to laugh.

"Theatre at its best" Highlights of mime... the critics call Mimās programs which cannot all be described easily. Above all, one must thrilling, spellbinding effect on the audience, which sympathises, suffers and laughs along with each scene.

³A sensitive and thoughtful program full of artistic aesthetics, wordless poetry, which fascinates with perfect gesturing and mimic and is more eloquent than a thousand words. A top class pantomime." - HAZ
